PRIVACY POLICY

Last updated: July 2026

Take 5 is a simple word-guessing game. This page explains what information is involved when you play.

No accounts, no personal data

You don't need to sign up or log in to play. We don't ask for your name, email address, or any other personal details.

What's stored in your browser

Your stats (wins, losses, streak) and game preferences are saved locally in your browser's storage so they persist between visits. This information stays on your device and is never sent to us.

Cookies

A small, functional cookie is used to keep the game secure while you play. It doesn't identify you personally and isn't used for advertising.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand overall traffic, such as how many people visit and roughly how the game is used. This may involve Google setting its own cookies. No information from this is used to personally identify you. You can opt out using your browser's cookie settings or a tool such as Google's Analytics opt-out add-on.

Challenge a Friend

If you create a challenge link, the word and optional hint you enter are stored so the link works for the person you send it to. Please don't include personal or sensitive information in a challenge word or hint. Challenge links are temporary and are automatically removed after a short period.

Third parties

We don't sell your data or share it with third parties, aside from the analytics provider mentioned above.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page from time to time. Continued use of Take 5 after a change means you accept the updated policy.
